Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Primary Care
I accept most insurance plans offered in San Diego including:
1. Almost all PPO plans.
2. Medicare, I accept Assignment for regular Medicare. This means that we accept Medicare's determination of the appropriate charge for services covered by Medicare. Medicare pays 80% of this charge. The remaining 20% is the responsibility of the patients, either through a Medicare Supplemental Insurance Policy or by paying the balance themselves. We do not accept Medical as a Medicare Supplement.
We will not accept Blue Cross Freedom Blue PPO Fees for services provided to Medicare Beneficiaries. Patients will be charged the 20% of Medicare fees that Blue Cross Freedom Blue does not pay physicians.

4. HMO (I am accepting new patients under the following plans, Blue Shield, California Care, Pacificare United Health Care, United Health Plan, Healthnet Commercial HMO, Healthnet Senior Patients, Aetna Senior, Blue Shield Senior)
MANAGED CARE: I currently serve a primary care physician for the following HMO plans; Aetna, Blue Shield, California Care, Pacificare, United, Scripps EPO. Except in emergency situations, Insurance copays for HMO and POS plans must be paid at the time of service. For co-pays we accept cash, check or credit card
